This stencil by Banksy was spray painted on a wall at Brighton Beach in 2004, and a slightly modified version of the drawing was included in an exhibition at Andipa Gallery in London in 2009.

2012The Stencil: Rude Copper
This Banksy piece was originally produced as an unsigned print with a run of about 200 in 2002, but an additional 30 signed, hand finished prints were also made available later in the year. Policeman feature in a number of Banksy’s pieces, and this is one of five of such stencils included in my project.

2012The Stencil: Grannies
This image is based on a screenprinted drawing by Banksy, which was created in 2006 and was sold as a limited edition piece. Elderly people often feature in Banksy’s artworks, doing anything from playing lawn bowls, to spray painting graffiti of their own. This is one of three pieces that I included in this project that were not actually stencils, but pieces of fine art in their own right.
